We cannot witness Victorian Land Transfers on Duties Form 6A as Consular Officers are not listed under section 107A(1) of Evidence (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1958.
We cannot complete a Verification of Identity of Witness Certificate from your lender or Australian State/ Territory regulatory body. The Embassy is authorised to provide a DFAT Identity Certificate which must be performed at the same time as the witnessing and certifying functions of a land or property transaction.
Please check with your legal advisor, licensed conveyance or mortgagee to confirm the appropriate service. Consular staff cannot advise clients of requirements.
